Scuba Diving Gear
There is more to scuba diving gear than just oxygen tanks
and a snorkel. Wetsuits are essential to most diving situations. Because
it is often much colder in deep water, a wetsuit is necessary in order
to keep the diver’s body temperature in the healthy range.
Scuba diving gear also includes a variety of gauges. There should always
be some kind of oxygen tracking device included with diving equipment
to make sure the diver doesn’t run out of air before resurfacing.
Other important gauges include those that monitor depth and time underwater.
For the novice, scuba diving gear usually starts with a mask, snorkel
and some fins. Snorkeling is a great way to get used to the feeling
of being in open water, without having to venture too deep. Many costal
resorts offer snorkeling trips for their patrons.
